GET YOUR KIDS HOOKED ON FISHING ON SATURDAY, JUNE 15th

There is nothing like a good, old-fashioned morning of fishing to kick off the summer. If you would like your kids to learn this fun-filled sport, free of charge, come to the 15th Annual Kids All-American Fishing Derby on Saturday, June 15th from 8 to 10 a.m. at the SUNY New Paltz pond. It’s located just inside the Route 32 South SUNY New Paltz entrance. Sponsored by the New Paltz Rotary Club and the Town of New Paltz, the event is open to all children ages 5 to 12 years old. Fishing gear and bait will be provided, and prizes will be awarded to kids who catch the smallest, largest, and most fish. This is a catch and release tournament, so all fish are returned to the pond once they are measured. No pre-registration is necessary, but children must be accompanied by an adult.
